Draft — pending legal review
This document is a draft published ahead of the app's launch. It has not yet been reviewed by an attorney and may change before the app is released.
Privacy Policy
Draft dated October 19, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Convenient Laboratories, LLC d/b/a Let's Slide Twin (“we,” “us”), 1800 Pembrook Dr, Suite 300, Orlando, FL 32810, collects, uses and shares information when you use the Let's Slide Twin app, the website at letsslidetwin.app, and related services (the “Service”). The Service is intended for adults 18 and older.
The short version
- We use your location to navigate you and to place your reports on the map. We do not sell your personal information.
- The microphone is used only when you start voice input. We do not record you in the background.
- Payments are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card number.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing info@convelabs.com.
- This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
1. Information we collect
Location
With your permission, the app collects your device's precise location while you are navigating, and, if you allow it, in the background during an active trip so turn-by-turn guidance keeps working with the screen off. We use it to calculate routes and travel times, give guidance, show nearby reports, attach a location to reports you submit, and choose a regional voice pack if you turn that on. Search queries and destinations you enter are processed to find places and routes. You can turn off location access in your device settings at any time, but navigation will not work without it.
Microphone and voice
With your permission, the app uses your microphone only when you tap the mic or start a voice command (for example, saying a destination, “report police,” or answering “detour or keep goin'?”). Speech is converted to text using on-device speech recognition from Apple or Google, or their cloud speech services where the device requires it, under their privacy terms. We do not keep audio recordings. We may keep the resulting text command briefly to carry out the request and to fix errors.
Crowd reports, votes and ratings
When you report police presence, an accident, construction or a hazard, or vote on whether a report is still there, we collect the report type, location, time and a random device or account identifier. Reports are shown to other drivers without your name. We use the identifier to prevent spam and abuse and to moderate false reports.
Account and subscription information
If you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address (which may be a private relay address). Apple or Google tell us whether you have an active subscription, the plan and renewal status. We do not receive your payment card details.
Preferences and device information
We store your settings (voice, region pack, “Keep it plain,” tolls, units), saved places such as Home and Work if you add them, device type, operating system and app version, crash logs and basic diagnostics.
Website, waitlist and advertiser forms
If you join the waitlist, we collect your email, city and the optional region you pick. If you fill out the advertiser interest form, we collect your business name, contact name, email, phone (optional), city, business type, preferred ad radius and your message. To prevent spam, our server records a one-way hashed (non-reversible) version of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string with the submission. Our website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
2. How we use information
- To provide navigation, guidance, travel times, voice lines and reports.
- To manage subscriptions and verify purchases with Apple or Google.
- To show local ads relevant to your approximate area (unless you have Slide+), and to measure how many times an ad was shown or tapped in aggregate.
- To moderate reports, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- To improve routing, voice lines and the app using aggregated or de-identified data.
- To respond to support requests and, for waitlist members, to tell you when the app launches.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. Ads
Local business ads in the app are selected using your approximate location while the app is in use (for example, businesses near your route or destination). We do not share your precise location, name, email or trip history with advertisers. Advertisers receive only aggregated performance numbers. We do not use third-party ad networks that track you across other companies' apps or websites; if that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for permission where required (for example, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt).
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:
- With service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, such as map and routing providers (for example, Mapbox), text-to-speech providers, cloud hosting and database providers (for example, Supabase and Vercel), crash reporting, and email delivery. Map and routing requests include the locations needed to calculate a route.
- With Apple and Google to process purchases and subscriptions.
- With other drivers, in the form of anonymous reports (type, location and time).
- For legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the safety, rights or property of users, the public or us. We will push back on requests that are overly broad.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Retention
We keep trip location history only as long as needed to provide the trip and for a short period afterward for troubleshooting (target: 30 days), unless you save a place. Crowd reports expire from the map automatically and are kept in de-identified form afterward. Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active and as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Waitlist and advertiser interest entries are kept until launch outreach is complete or you ask us to delete them.
6. Your choices and rights
- Permissions: turn location or microphone access off anytime in your device settings.
- Delete your data: see Delete your account and data. You can delete your account in the app or by emailing info@convelabs.com from the email address associated with your account. We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days, except for information we must keep by law.
- Access and correction: email us to request a copy of your personal information or to correct it.
- Email: unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas or Florida), you may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. To make a request, email us; we may need to verify your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege database rules. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Age requirement
The Service is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Where we process data
We are based in the United States and process information in the United States. The Service is intended for users in the United States.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect, and update the date above.
